Leeds United have recently been linked with Fenerbahce’s Michael Frey, and a few days ago Middlesbrough were also brought into the transfer picture.

Injuries and form issues have meant the 24 year old has failed to impress in Turkey since his €2.5m move, but Fener still believe they can make a profit.

It was claimed Middlesbrough are ready to pay €5m, and Leeds interest was backed up at the same time.

Interest from Elland Road is also backed up by Belgium’s DH today, who are covering Anderlecht’s stance. The Jupiler League club have been following Frey and there’s some confidence he’d prefer them over Leeds.

DH say the player is ‘not sure’ about Marcelo Bielsa’s side, because they’re playing in the second tier of English football.

He’s probably fortunate big Championship clubs are interested, yet the Belgian slant is he’s not too keen on the idea himself.

Time will tell if he gets the level of move it’s suggested he’s looking for.
