With Manchester United waiting to see if they’ll get to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna this summer, it seems his club are also on hold for an answer.
A story from newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport today claims that whilst the player is out in the Euros, he hasn’t spoken to the Serie A side about his future or let them know what his intentions are.
There’s some hope from Bologna that Zirkzee could extend his contract and be there for next season, but he’s only set to give his response once he returns from the competition.
Manchester United are again named as a contender to sign him, with Gazzetta pointing out the Red Devils have been ‘courting him’, with AC Milan also in the race.
The advantage for the Premier League side is that the Rossoneri are not keen on paying the big commission fee demanded by agent Kia Joorabchian.
On Thursday, we saw reports from the Italian media claiming Zirkzee is ‘ready to accept’ a move to Manchester United this summer and the move is very close.
Now with things expected to be sorted only after the Euros, the Red Devils may have to wait a little.
