With Sporting interested in securing the signing of Francisco Trincão this summer, Portuguese newspaper O Jogo today features a piece with an update on this chase.
The winger, who belongs to Barcelona, is currently having a loan spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he’s struggling to be a regular starter under Bruno Lage.
So O Jogo writes that Sporting could indeed have a boost because of this situation.
The outlet writes that Trincão ‘is not satisfied’ at Wolves, and knowing that he’s not in the plans of Barcelona manager Xavi, then he’d be fine in returning to Portugal, where he’d need no adaptation.
O Jogo, however, points out that the biggest problem is Barcelona’s plans for the player this summer.
It’s said the Catalan side ‘insist’ in including Trincão in a swap for Wolves loanee Adama Traore.
In case that deal doesn’t work out, however, then the La Liga giants would accept negotiating Trincão on a loan or a permanent sale.
Then Sporting will be there waiting for the opportunity to secure the services of the Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee.
