Federico Bernardeschi left Fiorentina and moved to Juventus in 2017 and has nine goals and 11 assists in all competitions since the start of the 2017/18 season.

A ‘Top Secret’ report from today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo claims Barcelona ‘like’ the attacking midfielder and they have been following him from his time at his former club.

From the Camp Nou, they do not deny these claims, but warn the 25-year-old is ‘not a priority’ for the La Liga winners. The Blaugrana have other names in their transfer list to reinforce the attack.

Last summer, Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici travelled to Spain to hold talks with the Catalan club for Ivan Rakitić. The Turin club’s chief proposed a swap deal for the Croatian and the players initially offered did not please Barca.

Barcelona technical secretary Eric Abidal tried to sign Bernardeschi as part of the deal for Rakitić.

The transfer didn’t go through because Juve demanded €23m plus the midfielder for the Italian. This didn’t please the Spanish champions.

Mundo adds Bernardeschi’s name has now dropped down in Barca’s list of targets as he no longer remains a priority for them.
