Laurens De Bock is being replaced at Oostende whilst he’s still at the club.

The player is on loan at the Belgian side from Leeds United for the season, having failed to make a go of his time at Elland Road.

Leeds are going to have the problem of what to do with De Bock in the summer transfer window, because Oostende have made it very clear he’s absolutely returning to the Championship club.

They’ve signed left back Bojan Nastic from Racing Genk on loan for the rest of the season with an option to make that permanent in the summer.

Gazet van Antwerpen quote the club’s sport director Hugo Broos as saying: “And then Nastic is someone with the best profile. He knows the Belgian league, has played strong competitions, has a good mentality and is also very good at attacking. We are already doing this transfer with a view to next season. Then Laurens De Bock must definitively return to Leeds. And actually Zarko Tomasevic, who enters his last contract year, is a central defender. So we can use some extra on the left.”

De Bock has made eleven Jupiler League appearances for Oostende so far this season, but it seems he hasn’t done enough for the club to try and keep him longer.

With a Leeds United contract lasting until June 2022, he’s likely going to have to find a new club for next season.
