Earlier today we carried claims from Argentina that Brighton & Hove Albion are on the verge of signing Alexis Mac Allister.
The 20 year currently plays for Argentinos Juniors, and comes from a well known football family.
His father Carlos Mac Allister works in Argentine sport administration and his brothers Kevin and Francis are among his teammates at Juniors.
Democracia backs up claims from others of a move to the Premier League club being close. They state Mac Allister is ‘about to move to England’ and name the club as Brighton.
With Juniors asking for $10m for their youngster, the Seagulls have agreed to the conditions and will also guarantee percentage of a sell-on profit should there be one in the future.
Boca Juniors had been very keen but simply weren’t prepared, or weren’t able, to meet the $10m fee being asked.
They may have hoped for a discount, but that won’t be happening if it’s correct that Brighton have agreed.
