On Monday, SportBild reported the deal to take Kai Havertz from Chelsea to Real Madrid could happen ‘quickly’. It was also said the transfer is becoming ‘more and more concrete’.
Los Blancos have confirmed a few of their forwards will leave the club and Carlo Ancelotti needs more options in attack next season. The Blues star has been identified as one of the candidates.
The 23-year-old has a deal lasting until 2025 and Chelsea have two options for him, according to AS on Tuesday.
It’s stated the west London club want to extend the Germany international’s contract and for him to be part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans at the Bridge. If he refuses to sign an extension, the Blues are open to selling him in the summer. This is the second option.
Havertz is ‘aware’ of the ‘two scenarios that Chelsea have presented to him’ for his future.
At the same time, he’s already aware of Real Madrid’s interest to sign him and also ‘seduced’ by the idea of joining them.
For now, the parties prefer to be cautious. Real Madrid are working on the deal and believe the ‘operation is feasible’.
