Besiktas have announced they have parted ways with Pepe, which could open up a move to the Premier League with Wolves, Turkey’s reports continue to insist.

The Portugal international has been experiencing issues with the Besiktas board regarding payments, which has resulted in the central defender becoming a free agent.

AMK Spor today claim the 35-year old now looks set to join Wolves, after being linked with the Premier League club in the last transfer window.

Pepe was linked with a move to Wolves during the last summer window, but the move never materialised. There have been reports in the Turkish press this week that Pepe was on the verge in heading to England, but the club wasn’t initially disclosed.

There was also a claim in the Portuguese media yesterday that Pepe could be heading to Molineux, with Jorge Mendes obviously getting a mention in a possible deal.

This remains unlikely, with the more realistic move for Pepe being a big money contract in China or the Middle East.
