Italian website Calcio Mercato brings a story on the future of Inter Milan loanee Valentino Lazaro, who’s having a spell at Newcastle United.

Loaned to the Magpies at the end of the January transfer window, the right-back has only made five appearances for the Premier League side so far.

That’s why, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, there’s not a lot of optimism from Inter Milan regarding the player’s permanent transfer.

Given that Lazaro hasn’t had enough minutes to show his potential, it’s claimed that it’s now more likely he’ll return to the Nerazzurri at the end of the season.

Despite an agreement which says Newcastle can sign Lazaro permanently for €20m, it’s claimed that the possibilities are still ‘open’ as the clubs ‘haven’t found a deal regarding the amount’.

So even if the chances of a permanent transfer are small, in case Newcastle do end up signing Lazaro, it seems it should be for less than the price set.
