Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly said to be interested in Romelu Lukaku.
On April 12th, Italian journalist Fabio Bergomi suggested the striker’s agent, Federico Pastorello, would prefer to take his client to Spurs rather than the San Siro.
The Belgian left the Nerazzurri and made a switch to London last summer. In his final season with Inter, the 28-year-old played a crucial role in helping them win the title, under the orders of Antonio Conte.
The Italian coach is now at Spurs and therefore, the former Everton man has been linked with them.
According to La Repubblica, the frontman could end up at ‘Conte’s Tottenham’ in the next window.
The newspaper also looks at recent reports linking the Belgium international to the Serie A winners and state the return of the striker to the San Siro is ‘only a suggestion’, fueled by the ‘incompatibility between’ him and his current manager.
It’s claimed the player is ‘more likely to end up’ at Tottenham, but only if Harry Kane were to leave the Premier League side in the summer.
Lukaku’s situation, caused by his poor relationship with Thomas Tuchel, coupled with the English club’s current situation could open the door for him to leave in the summer.
His potential arrival at Tottenham depends on Kane’s exit and that could be made difficult, especially if Conte’s side were to qualify for the Champions League next season.
