On Saturday we covered reports from Spain that Okay Yokuslu’s move to West Brom was a step away from happening. The Premier League club had been working to sign the midfielder over the past week, with Celta Vigo willing to let him go for the rest of the current season and beyond.
Celta originally wanted a clause that would have made the loan permanent in the summer, regardless of what happens in the rest of West Brom’s season. The Baggies instead wanted the clause to only be obligatory if they retain their Premier League status.
As discussions went on, Celta were happy to agree to this, but it was then reported Yokuslu wasn’t happy about there being any clause, instead wanting the deal to be a dry loan.
La Voz de Galicia now heavily suggest that will be the case.
The player has said goodbye to his Celta teammates, ‘left for West Brom’ and the move is just waiting to be made official and announced. La Voz state Yokuslu will now try to prove himself in England, with the hope of relaunching his career and attracting other suitors for the summer window.
