Angelino’s return to Manchester City is yet to be confirmed, but all the signs are pointing towards its completion.

The 22-year-old joined PSV Eindhoven last summer in a £4.95m move and made 43 appearances in all competitions for the Dutch side last season, registering 12 assists and scoring one goal.

His original move included a buyback for City at €12m, though, and it seems they’ve already activated his return.

At the end of last month, we covered reports from De Telegraaf and Eindhoven Dagblad that Angelino ‘has left’ for the Etihad and PSV now need to find a replacement.

Now ED have updated the story, and they again confirm that Angelino ‘has left’ for Manchester City. In fact, they say he’s in Manchester right now to finalise the move.

They even say PSV have identified Angelino’s successor, with Valencia left-back Toni Lato the preferred target.

While there’s been no announcement, that’s now a third independent source using the exact same language about Angelino. His return to Manchester City should be completed sooner rather than later.
