Since football returned following the Covid-19 sport lockdown, Andreas Pereira hasn’t been much used by Manchester United.
In the Premier League, the 24 year old was given ten minutes against Sheffield United, and 26 minutes against Brighton & Hove Albion. He also got 26 minutes against LASK in a dead Europa League tie.
That would be enough to suggest the player isn’t part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans, so it wouldn’t be thought it’s such a blow that Esporte Interativo are reporting he’s ‘leaving’ Manchester United.
However, the Brazilian website insists the manager has wanted to keep Pereira, stating Solskjaer has ‘tried in vain’ to persuade the player to reconsider his future and stay at Old Trafford.
That could be agent marketing, and it’s also reported Pereira’s representative Kia Joorabchian is already working to find his client a new club. He’s in talks with Portuguese, Spanish and German sides, with Valencia pushed out as a possible destination.
Given Joorabchian’s close links with Arsenal, it’s surely only a matter of time before the Gunners are linked.
