It’s fair to say Casper Sloth’s time at Leeds United didn’t go well for the player. Signed in 2014, Sloth left during the summer, with Garry Monk’s arrival doing nothing to change the Dane’s unhappy period in Yorkshire.
On Monday, Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet go over the transfer successes and failures of each club, with Sloth’s move from Leeds labelled a ‘disappointment’.
Ekstra Bladet say Sloth is: ‘Devoid of self-confidence after the failed stay in Leeds.’
The 24 year old was one of a number of squad players who Leeds United looked to move on during the summer, making way for Monk to mould the team the way he wanted.
That Sloth has failed to have the impact expected at AaB will be a concern to the player, but there’s plenty of time to turn things around and have a happier time back in Denmark.
