Takvim claim Besiktas midfielder Gary Medel is keen to join West Ham United but the 31 year old will not force the situation.
Earlier this week we covered reports from Turkey that West Ham officials have held transfer talks in Istanbul and made an offer €7m for the Chile international. The player has been linked with move to the London club in the past week.
According to Takvim, Medel wants to play under his compatriot Manuel Pellegrini following the Hammers reported interest.
It’s claimed Medel is now ready to wait until discussions have been concluded and he will respect any decision made by his club regarding his future.
Takvim say the Besiktas board are pleased with Medel’s approach to the situation and this will make their hand stronger during talks with West Ham.
The Chilean signed Besiktas from Inter Milan last season and his made 64 appearances for the Istanbul club. The former Cardiff City player is under contract at the Vodafone Arena until June 2020.
