Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has been linked with an exit from the club since the summer transfer window.
The Brazilian was said to be close to joining Saudi club Al Nassr but the move never materialised.
His current deal at Manchester City runs out in the summer of 2026 and the next summer window might be the Citizens’ best chance of earning a fee from the goalkeeper’s sale.
It now seems as if Pep Guardiola’s side are already looking at potential replacements for the 31-year-old and Juventus’ Michele di Gregorio has emerged as a target.
This comes from Calciomercato.it, who state that City have been left ‘bewitched’ by Di Gregorio, who featured against them in the Champions League last week.
He is now ‘among the profiles evaluated’ by Manchester City, when it comes to replacing Ederson.
Calciomercato.it believe that a move for the Italian will be difficult. That is because Di Gregorio only joined Juve in the summer transfer window from Monza for a fee of €16m.
As a result, only a massive fee will be needed to take the 27-year-old away from Turin. Only ‘indecent proposals’ can spark a sale and for now, Guardiola will have to look at other targets.
