Timothy Weah’s playing time at Paris Saint-Germain has been limited and the forward took to Instagram to confirm that he will go out loan in the winter market.
In the post, he refused to reveal the club he will join and L’Equipe in France has brought an update on the 18-year-old’s destination for the second half of the season.
It’s claimed the United States international is ‘expected’ to join Celtic on a temporary spell.
The player was ‘seduced’ to join Celtic after having conversations with their manager Brendan Rodgers and his assistant Kolo Toure.
In addition to this, the teenager was also ‘inspired’ by Odsonne Edouard’s progress with the Scottish Premiership club, having initially joined them on a season-long loan deal from PSG in 2017 before making the Celtic move permanent in the summer.
Weah’s contract at Parc des Princes will run out in 2020 and there is no mention if the Ligue 1 winners will extend his contract before sanctioning his loan move.
If not, then he will have a year left on his contract once he returns to his parent club next summer.
