Andi Zeqiri has heaped praise on Adam Lallana as the latter prepares to leave Brighton this summer.
The forward has been speaking to Het Belang van Limburg about his career to date, which includes his time with Brighton.
The Switzerland striker joined Brighton in a €4m deal from Lausanne-Sport in October 2020 but would only go on to make 13 appearances for the club, instead heading out on loan to FC Augsburg and Basel before joining KRC Genk in September last year.
His time at the club was largely a failure and a miserable period for him, with just one goal and 482 minutes of football across those 13 appearances.
He’s regularly spoken about his short spell on the south coast, particularly as he built up towards a departure last year.
It seems it was not all negative, though, as he looked back on his relationship with Lallana, who is set to leave the club on a free transfer this summer, and heaped praise on the veteran midfielder.
“That’s true, I take great care of my body,” he said when asked about spending much of his time in the gym.
“I do everything I can to stay fit and avoid injuries. Exercising a lot, eating healthily, and so on. I learned that at Brighton & Hove Albion, where I often chatted with Adam Lallana.
“Thanks to him, I know that football is not only about talent, but also about details and the will to do everything possible every day to achieve the highest possible.”
