Three days ago, a report from the British press explained Everton’s Yerry Mina has emerged as a target for Valencia.
Mundo Deportivo journalist Miguel Rico has backed up these claims by stating the Colombia international is a transfer ‘option’ for the La Liga side.
In a short report, he explains ‘there is a possibility’ for the 25-year-old to leave the Toffees and return to La Liga this summer.
Before joining the Merseyside club in 2018, the defender spent six months at Barcelona.
According to Rico, Valencia ‘urgently need to sign’ at least one centre-back this summer and Carlo Ancelotti’s man ‘appears to be on the horizon’.
Ezequiel Garay has already confirmed he has left the Spanish side, leaving them with Gabriel Paulista, Mouctar Diakhaby, Eliaquim Mangala and Hugo Guillamón as the current centre-back options.
Both Mangala and Guillamón have just a handful of appearances in this campaign and the latter’s contract expires after the end of this season.
Mundo only state the Everton player is an option for Valencia. If Super Deporte are to be believed, FC Porto’s Diogo Leite remains the club’s first choice centre-back target.
Any potential transfer, either for Mina, Leite or another player would have to wait because Valencia are currently without a permanent manager and a sporting director.
