After a month long negotiation, Barcelona finally budged to Arsenal’s demands by allowing Denis Suarez to move on loan during the winter market.

The La Liga winners wanted to include a mandatory purchase option, however, the Gunners only wanted an option to make the midfielder’s deal permanent, which is what was finally agreed on.

In the second half of the season, the 25-year-old failed to start even a single fixture across all competitions under the guidance of Unai Emery and ended up playing for less than 100 minutes across six matches.

An injury has forced the former Valencia man to cut short his loan spell and return to the Camp Nou. Arsenal have obviously decided not to exercise the option to make his transfer permanent.

Mundo Deportivo journalist Miguel Rico explains to a Barcelona audience that the player has ‘not done well at Arsenal’, but that doesn’t mean he has no suitors elsewhere.

Suarez is ‘still holding a sign’ because, according to Rico, he still has a market in the Premier League and the Bundesliga.

The report does not provide further details as to which clubs in England and Germany are interested in the Barca owned player.
