David Moyes has been left ‘amazed’ by January signing Charly Alcaraz, with the player equally delighted with Everton so far.
That’s according to AS, who cover the midfielder today and his flying start to life at Everton after arriving from Flamengo at the end of the January transfer window.
Alcaraz was the hero of the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, providing an assist for Beto’s opener before scoring the winning goal himself to cap off an impressive first start in Royal Blue.
AS say he ‘could not have started better’ at Everton and the feeling is that Moyes has a ‘diamond’ on his hands to be polished. He’s already established himself as the ‘great hope’ with his performance in the win over Crystal Palace.
The newspaper says his adaption has been ‘almost immediate’ and everyone in the dressing has welcomed him, evidenced by his quick growing relationship with Jack Harrison.
Everton trust Alcaraz will be a star of the future and even tried to sign him previously but were limited by their financial situation.
Alcaraz is determined to prove his worth at Goodison Park after frustrated spells at Southampton, Flamengo and a loan deal at Juventus that simply didn’t work out.
He’s now found a ‘second home’ in Liverpool, feeling the warmth of the fans immediately and settling into the squad seamlessly.
He is determined to get Everton on the up and perhaps shine enough to secure himself a debut with Argentina too. He’s already shown what he’s worth, but the ‘best is yet to come’ from Everton’s January signing.
