AC Milan are one of the clubs keen on signing Barcelona’s Jean-Clair Todibo in January.

Sky Italia reported on Wednesday the Serie A side have given the Frenchman 24-48 hours to respond to their offer, while they have started looking at other alternatives.

Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen was considered as one alternative and their idea was to take the centre-back on a loan deal with an obligation to make it permanent. However, Sky reported the Blues would only consider a sale in the winter market.

These claims have been picked by BT in Denmark and they state the 23-year-old is happy to be at Stamford Bridge.

Christensen was absent from Chelsea’s festive fixtures and the report states the defender missed those matches because he was ill.

Unless and until drastic changes take place, the Dane will continue with the Europa League winners beyond this month.

Amid claims of Milan’s interest, a January move away from Chelsea for Christensen is ‘hardly going to happen’.
