Samuel Iling-Junior has had an eventful few months.
He joined Aston Villa from Juventus in a saga which saw Douglas Luiz go the other way, but quickly enough, the Englishman was loaned out to Bologna and returned to Serie A.
Gazzetta dello Sport state that the winger could now be ready to make his first start for Bologna against Como and Rossoblu manager Vincenzo Italiano is ready to try him out right away.
The outlet describe the move to Aston Villa as a ‘joke’ and say the player is keen to put the summer behind him.
Even if the youngster had initially described the Villa ‘project’ as the reason for his move, Gazzetta say he saw the Bologna move as a ‘life-raft’ that he desperately jumped in.
Gazzetta dello Sport are quite obviously being at least a little over dramatic here, but it’s clear the Italian newspaper believe Iling-Junior has been treated poorly this summer, seen as a pawn to be moved around at will.
Maybe he’ll share what he thinks himself in the coming months.
