Marshall Munetsi have been given the green light by Reims to talk to Wolverhampton Wanderers about a move on deadline day.

That’s according to journalist Loic Tanzi, who reports the French side are already moving ahead and looking for a replacement for the midfielder.

Munetsi has been linked with a move to Wolves today as Vitor Pereira’s side look to strengthen their defensive options before the window closes.

The 28-year-old predominantly plays in midfield but can also play in central defence and is being targeted because of that. Wolves have been determined to add to their defensive options in this window, with it considered the obvious weak point of the team.

Vitor Pereira has reverted them back to a back three and their signings have been focused on improving the Portuguese manager’s options as a result.

Emmanuel Agbadou has already arrived in a €20m deal from Reims and it appears they are now set to add former teammate Munetsi as well.

Tanzi now reports that he has been given permission to talk to wolves about a transfer, with an agreement now seemingly in place between the two sides.

He adds that the French side are now working on replacements would also suggest that they are confident the deal will go through before tonight’s deadline. Journalist Santi Aouna adds to this, stating that Munetsi will move to Wolves in a €20m deal.
