Earlier this month, we covered claims from Italy that Juventus have initiated contacts to sign Chelsea’s Benoît Badiashile in January. It was also stated he could easily leave the Premier League side.
Last season, the defender struggled with injuries but ended up clocking in 1,666 minutes from 22 games. He made 10 appearances this season and two of them are in the league.
The 23-year-old played every minute for Chelsea in the EFL Cup and UEFA Conference League this season.
Recent claims have talked about the possibility of the centre-back leaving the Blues in the winter market. Foot Mercato now brings the latest on this and their title says ‘things are getting agitated for Benoît Badiashile’.
It’s claimed several clubs from the Bundesliga and the Serie A are ‘on the lookout’ for the Frenchman and have made contacts for him. The details of these clubs aren’t mentioned while there’s been claims of Marseille making contact for the Chelsea player.
Foot Mercato state the Ligue 1 side haven’t made an approach for Badiashile so far.
It’s claimed Badiashile ‘has not imagined’ leaving Enzo Maresca’s side and is ‘fully focused on Chelsea’, amid approaches from other clubs. His idea is to ‘continue in London, which should rule out a move away from the English club in the next window.
