Wolves are moving relatively quickly at the start of the summer market, and have agreed a deal with SC Braga for Rodrigo Gomes.
It was across the Portuguese media on Sunday and Monday morning, and now the winger is set to get his chance in the Premier League.
Record report Rodrigo Gomes is flying to England on Monday evening, and he will then have his medical tests with Wolves on Tuesday.
Should everything relating to those test be as expected then he’ll complete his €15m move to Wolves. An announcement is expected in the next few days to confirm the transfer.
Interestingly, Braga are trying to sign Chiquinho from Wolves, tussling with Sporting to do so. Braga want a loan, with the Lisbon club perhaps more prepared to pay up.
They obviously have the money needed from selling Rodrigo Gomes, but perhaps there was some kind of agreement during those negotiations to facilitate a loan move.
There’s some disappointment in Portugal that Rodrigo Gomes is leaving before he’s even established himself at Braga, after he spent last season on loan at Estoril.
