Ludovit Reis should be in Barcelona now, excited and ready to sign a contract with the Catalan club.

Dutch newspaper AD report the FC Groningen player was due to fly out this morning, having seen his club eliminated from the chase for European football.

That freed the 18 year old to travel, and he’s certainly not wasting any time.

Reis is expected to be part of Barcelona’s B team for next season, but of course his long term aim will be to impress manager Ernesto Valverde and whoever comes after the Spaniard in charge at the Camp Nou.

On May 4th, it was reported in the Netherlands that Reis would quickly be travelling to the La Liga club in order to complete his move, but it’s obviously taken a little longer.

Barcelona are expected to pay around €7.7m for the young midfielder, and hand him a five year contract with the club.

De Telegraaf previously reported the fee is ‘spectacular’ for the Dutch club.
