Mateusz Bogusz has now flown to England to get his transfer to Leeds United over the line before the winter market closes on Thursday.

The Polish midfielder has been of interest to the Championship club for a while, and last week his club Ruch Chorzów announced that they’d received an offer from Leeds and the formalities of a transfer were ongoing.

It’s taken a few days, but the 17 year is now thought to be in the country and will go through his medical tests on Monday, report Chorzów Ianin.

On December 29th of last year, we covered claims from Poland that Leeds were ‘tempting’ the player to sign for them.

At the time, Brighton & Hove Albion were presented as also interested, and Serie A club Napoli had been keeping an eye on the youngster’s progress.

There’s been no figure put forward as an agreed transfer fee, but those 2018 claims stated Leeds would need to part with around €200k to get the player.
