One year after being bought by Brighton & Hove Albion, it seems Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has finally got his work permit for the Premier League.

It’s Argentine outlet AS who reports it today, saying the Seagulls finally have the chance of bringing him to England.

Mac Allister is currently loaned to Boca Juniors until next summer, but the report claims that if they choose to pay a certain amount, Brighton could have him in the January transfer window.

The Premier League side have been following him for the entire loan spell, and became more convinced of getting him early since his performance for Argentina’s U23 squad at the weekend.

It’s been previously reported that Brighton would like to have Mac Allister in January, and at that time the Argentine media denied that there would be a clause for it to happen.

So perhaps the Seagulls would have to agree a fee with Boca Juniors so they can take the midfielder early. He’s a pretty important player for the Buenos Aires side, so it shouldn’t be easy to find an agreement.
