Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries ‘dreams of Manchester United’ this summer should he leave the Italian side.
That’s according to L’Interista, who say that the Dutchman would love to join Manchester United this summer if he doesn’t end up renewing his deal with the Serie A champions.
Part of the story, which is relayed from Tuttosport, explains that those in charge at Inter will start focusing on contract renewals in the coming weeks after other financial matters at the club have been dealt with.
Dumfries is one of those who needs to sign a new deal and has even ‘softened his requests’ on that front, but the two parties remain distant at this point and a new contract hasn’t been agreed.
A transfer is not currently being considered but the Italians certainly wouldn’t be opposed to a deal as they could get €30-35m and that would give them a breathe of fresh air to renew the squad.
Manchester United are considered one of his potential suitors and the defender even ‘dreams’ of making the move to Old Trafford.
For now, they’ve not made their move and the phone remains silent but if it starts ringing, Manchester United would be the ideal destination for him.
