In the past few days, one of the transfer sagas we’ve been covering most is West Ham’s chase for the Lazio duo Felipe Anderson and Jordan Lukaku.
Some recent updates from the Italian media have been claiming that the clubs are having a meeting today, with an agreement being possible in the next few hours.
Now there’s been an interesting story from Calcio Mercato claiming that Lukaku may not be that interested in this move. And the problem isn’t West Ham itself.
The website says that the defender would prefer to move to some place closer to Manchester, like Leicester, instead of living in London.
The story doesn’t show the reason for that, although they obviously mean that Jordan would prefer to live next to his brother Romelu, from Manchester United.
We just wonder if someone, especially a foreign player, would really choose Leicester over London to live in. And for a person who spent so much time in Italy, isn’t the English capital a lot closer to his brother than he’s been in the past few years?
Interestingly, Italian newspaper Il Tempo reported on June 22nd that Leicester City were ‘in pole’ to sign the player.
