Even though it’s now well known Gustavo Scarpa is leaving Palmeiras for Nottingham Forest in January, there’s apparently no way his departure from his club could happen this summer.
The Brazilian version of Goal today writes that the midfielder ‘will fulfil the contract’ he has with the Verdão, and ‘will not start talks’ to leave them before the end of his deal in December.
Goal writes the player ‘didn’t even open the possibility of anticipating’ his move to Nottingham Forest early, and shall now wait for the transfer.
It’s said he wants to end his time at Palmeiras at the end of the Brazilian season.
His idea is to keep the professionalism and avoid leaving them on bad terms, even though he told them his decision to leave for free, he also said he would like to do it at the last day of the year.
Goal recalls that Scarpa signed a pre-agreement with Nottingham Forest last weekend, but continued to be ready to play for Palmeiras’ squad.
His wish of playing in Europe is the reason why the Brazilian club couldn’t give him a new contract, but that doesn’t mean he’s rush his way out.
