Belgian newspaper HLN has an article in their Thursday edition on the Hazard brothers and them potentially becoming the most expensive siblings in football history.
When it comes to Eden, can you guess what they say?
Yes, the Chelsea player won’t let go of his dream to play for Real Madrid one day. At times this has seemed a quite logical and realistic next step for the Belgian, and at other times it’s felt like an unrequited love.
The Madrid media have repeatedly explained that Florentino Perez, for whatever reason, isn’t completely enamoured with the idea of signing Hazard. Things could change, of course, and it wouldn’t be a shock for Perez to turn 180.
Hazard is keeping his options open but Chelsea themselves certainly won’t want it to get to the stage that he has less than a year left on the current deal, which ends in June 2020.
Their tactics may need to change from being patient to being firm, to avoid another Thibaut Courtois situation.
