According to Voetbal International, FC Twente midfielder Mateusz Klich cut his holiday short in order to complete his move to Leeds United.
Yesterday the 27-year-old arrived in England ahead of his medical with the Championship side, following reports Twente have agreed to sell Klich to Leeds United.
In the past week the Poland international has been holidaying in Greece, but with Leeds United stepping up their pursuit to sign him, Klich took the decision to end his break.
VI report Klich is on the verge of signing for Leeds United for a fee in the region of £1.3m, despite the English club having a bid rejected by Twente several days ago. The fee is quoted in the Netherlands as €1.5m, slightly lower than some other claims.
It’s also been reported Twente are already looking to life without Klich, and De Telegraaf say they’ve now agreed a three year contract with Haris Vuckic, formerly of Newcastle United.
De Telegraaf’s newspaper edition says Klich had a Leeds United medical on Thursday, and will sign a three year contract today.
