Three days ago we covered an update of Hull city advancing with their efforts to sign Gustavo Puerta, and they quickly closed in on a deal for the Bayer Leverkusen player.
The Colombian has been strongly linked with a move to the Championship side all week as they look to add to their squad before the transfer window closes.
Dominik Schneider has reported on the latest developments regarding Hull City’s pursuit for the 21-year-old and he says the player is currently undergoing a medical with the English club.
The German journalist goes on to report it’s hoped the Puerta transfer can be finalised today, so the midfielder can be presented to the Hull City faithful when they take on Millwall tomorrow lunchtime. That’s the plan anyway.
Puerta made just seven Bundesliga appearances last season for the German champions as they raced to the title under Xabi Alonso, and the youngster will be moving on to get regular first team football. He had been contracted with Bayer Leverkusen until June 2028.
