Matheus Nunes stalling over a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers is today highlighted by Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã.

The outlet makes it clear that Sporting, who are said to have Wolves’ €40m bid in their hands, are ‘tempted’ to accept the offer.

Nunes is said to be excited with the chance of moving to the Premier League, but would prefer a club ‘with other objectives’ to be his destination.

The midfielder is said to be looking for a place where he can play in the Champions League, or at least fight to do so, plus get an important role in the team, as he believes that will help him secure a place at the World Cup.

Correio da Manhã writes that Nunes’ future is in his own hands, as his stance is the only factor ‘blocking’ the Wolves transfer for now.

Today, we’d already covered Portuguese newspaper A Bola claiming the midfielder isn’t really concentrating on his future at the moment.

It was claimed that Nunes is currently enjoying his holidays in Brazil, and will only take a decision once he heads back to Europe in a few days.
