Many Arsenal fans could probably have written Mundo Deportivo’s double page Hector Bellerin spread.

The newspaper’s Tuesday edition shouts out the words ‘BELLERIN – 10 DIAS’ and it doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to figure out what followed.

However, at Sport Witness we don’t do guessing, so have ready every Catalan word for you.

Barcelona want big progress on a Bellerin transfer over the next 10 days, and if it doesn’t happen they’ll walk away. That sounds perfect for Arsenal. But, of course, Mundo Deportivo say Bellerin is ‘crazy’ to return to Barcelona, and he’ll be gutted if it doesn’t happen.

Arsenal aren’t even willing to talk to Barcelona about it, or set a price, say Mundo Deportivo, with the Catalan newspaper throwing in the following dig: ‘A stance that has surprised many at the Camp Nou given the ‘gunners’ are eminently a selling club. Barça remember clear examples of this.’

It’s good the Catalan press are getting annoyed, this is a positive sign for Arsenal.

So what happens if the 10 days come and go and there’s no progress? Well, almost certainly, this deadline will be forgotten and the Bellerin rumour will continue as normal.
