David Raya has a contract expiring in 2024 and the goalkeeper has already turned down two renewal offers proposed by Brentford.
This was confirmed by Thomas Frank last month and the Bees manager has recently hinted the 27-year-old could be on his way out of the club in the summer.
A few Premier League sides have been credited with interest in the Brentford stopper. His suitors continue to grow as AS Roma are now added to the list.
That’s according to Il Romanista, who explain the Giallorossi are ‘at the window’ to sign the 27-year-old.
Rui Patrício is the first-choice stopper at Roma, but he no longer gives ‘guarantees’ and could leave after this season. They are handling several names, with Empoli’s Guglielmo Vicario as their main target.
It’s explained the Spain international ‘could leave’ Brentford in the near future and José Mourinho ‘welcomes him with open arms’ at Roma.
Brentford have a decision to make on Raya as they have to sell him in the summer, get a renewal or let him leave for free in 2024. Roma, meanwhile, remain at the window to sign him.
