According to a claim in the Turkish media, Trabzonspor are already looking to offload Borna Barišić, just months after he arrived as a free agent following the end of his Rangers contract.
An important member of Philippe Clement’s squad last season, the Croatian left Rangers at the end of June when his contract expired.
However, Barišić has recently come in for criticism in the Turkish press, along with ex Rangers midfielder John Lundstram, who also joined the Trabzon club on a free transfer in the summer.
Gune Bakis report there’s been new developments over the future of Barišić at Trabzonspor and they say he’s expected to leave the club. There are no reports if this will be when the window opens in January or next summer, but it sounds like a case of the sooner the better.
The Turkish media outlet say the player arrived in Turkey with high hopes after exiting Rangers, but has been unable to find the form he showed with the Glasgow side.
Since joining Trabzonspor the 31-year-old has played just 104 minutes in the Super Lig and looks surplus to requirements.
