Liverpool loanee Allan de Souza has been presented by Brazilian side Fluminense this week.

The midfielder is going back to his home country on a six-month spell, with the clubs having an option to extend it for the rest of the year.

Allan has held a press conference, and claimed to be pretty happy to join Flu, especially as he’s being commanded by Fernando Diniz, who’s famous for playing some beautiful football.

“It’s one of the factors that made me come to Fluminense, to work with him, for the characteristics and the way of playing,” said Allan (via Globo Esporte).

“I hope he can help me a lot. Everyone knows the way he likes to play, likes to take possession. That’s football, beautiful football. Everyone buying the idea, it’s going to be a good thing.”

Asked about the contract, the player claimed that he’ll not get involved in the talks, but plans to have a long spell at Fluminense: “These are Liverpool issues. The season ends in the middle of the year, it’s different from here. So they made that choice. I came to stay, I want to stay. Let’s wait and see.”

Allan has also talked about playing under Jurgen Klopp: “I returned to Liverpool because the season there ends a little earlier. He had just taken over and put me to play in a friendly. It was an accomplishment to play with him as a coach. But that’s in the past. I have to show for Fernando and for Fluminense fans. Klopp helps me a lot even today.”

Despite that chance, Allan didn’t stay at Liverpool for the start of the season, as he was sent on a loan to Eintracht Frankfurt. The player, however, didn’t have many chances in Germany, having made only four appearances for the club.

And despite being presented by Fluminense on Tuesday, Allan couldn’t train. The reason being the club’s players went on strike due to salaries that haven’t been paid.
