Sporting Club de Portugal defender Rúben Vinagre has already undergone a medical ahead of his move to Everton.

That’s according to Record, who say the player had completed the required medical tests and will be made official ‘in the next few hours’.

The newspaper reports that Vinagre underwent and passed his medicals with Everton earlier today and has already signed for the Blues.

He is now expected to be presented later today, with a deal already in place with Sporting over a loan deal.

The newspaper reaffirms their information from earlier today that the 23-year-old will be moving to Goodison Park on a season-long loan deal.

That will see Everton pay the defender’s salary of €800,000 a year, around €16,000 a week, for the entirety of his loan deal.

Vinagre has been allowed to leave the Portuguese side this summer despite only arriving on a permanent deal from Wolves earlier this month.

He spent last season on loan with the Portuguese side from Molineux but manager Rúben Amorim has decided to ‘leave him aside’ this season and he will now be returning to the Premier League with Everton.
