Munas Dabbur is ‘very close’ to signing for Crystal Palace, reports Estadio Deprtivo on Saturday.

Dabbur is a 26 year old striker currently playing for Austria’s RB Salzburg and he scored twice in the club’s season opener against LASK, helping them to a 3-1 victory.

Estadio Deportivo are a Seville based sport newspaper so it would be considered strange for them to have the inside line on an Israeli footballer moving from Austria to Crystal Palace.

However, it’s explained their information comes from Dabbur being offered to both Sevilla and Real Betis previously. Neither club took up the offer and whilst following things up, Estadio Deportivo have been given information of the possible Crystal Palace transfer.

Valencia are also said to be interested in the player, but it’s the Premier League side who are considered likelier right now.

Last season the footballer scored 29 goals in 55 games.

There are no firm reports backing this move up in the Austrian media yet.
