Fulham have stepped up their efforts to sign Flamengo’s Rodrigo Muniz and are moving in the right direction to conclude the operation.
On August 6th, we covered claims made by journalist Venê Casagrande, explaining the Brazilian club’s officials, along with the forward’s agent, travelled to Spain to complete Muniz’s sale to the Cottagers.
Casagrande even stated the two clubs have started exchanging the documents related to the transfer.
According to O Dia, the Championship side have found an agreement with Flamengo over signing the 20-year-old last Friday.
There were concerns over the deal collapsing after the English club ‘did not send the necessary documentation to complete the operation’. However, it looks like that’s been taken care of as the operation is back on track.
Flamengo are scheduled to take on Internacional in the league tie on Sunday and their manager, Renato Gaúcho, has left Muniz out of the squad.
O Dia explain the attacker was not listed for the weekend clash because ‘he is close to being officially sold to Fulham’, having recovered from a Covid-19 infection.
