Since Carlo Ancelotti arrived at Everton, it’s fair to say the club have been linked to a higher calibre of player.
James Rodriguez’s arrival in the summer window showed what is possible, and the Toffees doing well in the Premier League can only provide further motivation for players to join them.
Isco has been one of the most linked in recent months, and it was claimed at the beginning of December that Everton ‘dream’ of signing the Real Madrid man, and that ‘everything indicates’ he’ll end up in English football.
That’s carried on steadily, with several reports a week talking about Isco potentially moving to Goodison Park in the January window.
On December 16th, it was reported Ancelotti would be happy to welcome the Spaniard to Everton, having worked with him before at Madrid.
Monday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo says Isco is ‘clear’ about a move in the winter market, knowing he needs to give his career a kickstart elsewhere.
Of all the Real Madrid players who could move in January, it’s stated Isco is attracting the most attention. However, there’s so far been no offer considered reasonable, and without that he won’t be going anywhere.
Over to Everton, then.
