After PSV Eindhoven rejected Trabzonspor’s advances for Luciano Narsingh, the Turkish giants have now turned their attentions to former Blackburn Rovers and Queen’s Park Rangers’ winger Junior Hoilett.
The 26-year old Canadian is available on a free transfer after his contract with QPR recently expired, and as yet hasn’t found a new club. Hoilett was the subject of interest from Francesco Guidolin’s Swansea City earlier in the transfer window, but since then the Premier League side have made it clear that they’re interested in signing him.
Manager Ersun Yanal has spoken positively about Hoilett after he said his pace and ability to play on both wings could be important for Trabzonspor, a team which is challenging for the Turkish Super League this season. Club vice president Nevzat Aydın will reportedly fly to Holland to discuss the details of this transfer next week, reports Sporx.
Hoilett played 29 times for QPR for last season in the Championship and scored 6 goals. The Canadian international also made total of 128 Premier League appearances for QPR and Blackburn scoring 15 goals.
