Issa Kaboré is ‘causing’ a ‘fierce battle between’ Inter Milan and Manchester City, as per Fichajes.net.
The Citizens took the right-back from Belgian side KV Mechelen in 2020 and allowed him to return to the Jupiler Pro League side on a loan deal for the 2020/21 season.
Last summer, Pep Guardiola’s side let the 20-year-old join Troyes on a temporary deal. The two clubs have close ties since both of them are owned by the City Football Group.
The Burkina Faso international has made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side. His ‘excellent season’ with Troyes, and also with the national team, has attracted attention from the Nerazzurri.
Although the player is owned by the English champions, City currently have the right-back position covered by Kyle Walker and João Cancelo, if the latter is used in his preferred position rather than on the left side of defence.
Inter want to sign a new right-back in the summer, to compete and challenge Denzel Dumfries. They have identified Kaboré as the target and the report says ‘there will be talks between the two clubs’ for the fullback’s transfer after this season.
