Axel Tuanzebe is edging towards a transfer to Napoli, where he’ll spend the rest of the season on loan.

The defender has spent the first half of the campaign at Aston Villa, but it’s expected that Manchester United will recall him before sending him to the Serie A side.

Italian journalist Valter De Maggio, via AreaNapoli, has explained that he expects the transfer to close shortly, yet it’s not going to be over the next 24 hours.

That’s because of the administration processes involved in taking the defender back from Villa, before sending him out again.

He therefore believes the move will be completed in ‘four, five days’.

Over at Calciomercato.it, they’re carrying an exclusive on the loan move, and have what they present as the figures of the deal.

Napoli will pay €500k to loan the player for the rest of the campaign, and a further €500k fee based on easily achievable bonus payments.

There’s no clause for a permanent transfer, or even a summit set to discuss that in the summer, and it’s made clear that, as it stands, Tuanzebe will be leaving Manchester United on a straight loan move.
