On November 21st, Radu Drăgușin’s agent revealed he’s held talks with Tottenham Hotspur in London over a potential deal for the Genoa star. The representative had also said a fee of around €30m is needed to take him away from the Italian club.
At the start of this month, Calciomercato.it reported the Premier League side are ‘crazy’ about the Romanian defender.
Recent claims in the UK have explained that Tottenham are keen to bolster their centre-back position. It was also said the 21-year-old is included in Spurs’ list after he impressed their scouts.
Romania’s ProSport relay this and provide their own take on the centre-back’s future plans.
His deal lasts until 2027 and there’s been talk in Italy about the Serie A side wanting to extend the contract.
However, ProSport say the player is likelier to leave Genoa and would ‘like to play’ in the Premier League ‘where he represents a very good solution’ for Tottenham. They make it clear this deal would be for next summer and not for the winter market.
Drăgușin has managed a goal and an assist from 18 games this season.
