Cristiano Ronaldo has hit the ground running, scoring four goals in three matches, since returning to Manchester United late in the summer window.

The Red Devils took the forward from Juventus and his exit has left a hole in his former club’s attack.

Cadena Ser’s Carrusel Confidential states the Old Lady reached an agreement with Jorge Mendes that Ronaldo would only leave before August 15th.

This was done with so that Juve could bring in a replacement if the 36-year-old moved elsewhere.

After the aforementioned deadline, Juventus took it for granted the attacker would continue with them. Things, however, changed due to the pressure exerted by the Portugal international after the clash against Udinese. It’s claimed ‘this accelerated everything’ and ‘broke the pact’.

Ronaldo’s decision to leave Juve for Manchester United in the last days of the window left the Italian side with less time to sign a replacement. In their plans, it was either the former Real Madrid star or nothing.

This report suggests Ronaldo’s desire to leave Juventus for United saw him and his agent break the pact they had with the Turin club.

The Portuguese’s absence is clearly visible at Juve, who are yet to pick up their first league win of the season after four matches. They are currently 18th in the table with two points.
