Earlier today, we covered claims from Spain that Manchester United have requested for signing Ousmane Dembélé and he ‘begins to doubt his continuity’ at Barcelona after being the fifth choice attacker at Camp Nou.

It was also reported the Red Devils are looking to take the 23-year-old on a loan deal with an option to buy, while the La Liga giants are looking to sell him permanently.

Cadena Ser has a short update on this case, and it looks like there’s desire to help the winger move to Old Trafford.

It’s claimed ‘an attempt is being made to convince’ the France international give his approval in joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side. The report, however, doesn’t specify as to who is making this ‘attempt’.

The former Borussia Dortmund man turned down an approach from the Premier League side a few weeks ago, but that may not happen this time around.

Cadena Ser have been informed by those involved in the negotiations that they are ‘moderately optimistic’ with Dembélé possibly finding a way out.

Unfortunately, the report doesn’t specify the modalities of the deal, meaning there’s no mention whether it’ll be on loan or permanent transfer for the time being.
